If necessary, the runner can be easily cut or trimmed to size with a utility knife allowing for a custom fit.

Cleaning & Care

To uphold the quality of your washable matting, establishing a regular care routine is essential. Regularly brushing, vacuuming, or shaking out the doormat will effectively remove loose dirt, dust, and debris that may accumulate over time.

For a deeper clean, you can hand wash or machine wash the doormat on a gentle cycle up to 30 degrees Celsius. If using a washing machine, ensure the doormat is washed on its own to prevent potential damage to other items. It is crucial to avoid overloading the machine beyond its maximum weight capacity! During the washing process, refrain from using any chemicals e.g. fabric softeners or detergents, as these products can compromise the integrity of the runner's materials - just use water!

After washing, allow the matting to air dry on a flat, breathable surface to prevent the development of mould or mildew. Always ensure that both the doormat fibres and the backing are fully dry before placing it back on the floor, as dampness can lead to unpleasant odours or potential damage. Avoid laying the doormat on or over a radiator, as the heat could damage or dent the backing.
