The PVC backed matting is versatile in terms of customisation. If you need a specific size or shape, you can use a sharp Stanley knife to cut the material. This means that if your well has a slightly odd shape or is not completely straight, you have the flexibility to slightly oversize the matting and then trim it to ensure a perfect fit.

If you have a a mat well that exceeds the depth of the available mat thicknesses, we recommend using some ply board underneath. By placing ply board underneath the mat, it becomes possible to elevate the level, ensuring that the mat fits seamlessly within the well.

Our traditional backed custom sized coir mats are also designed to fit into mat wells. With a range of 5 thicknesses available - 25mm, 30mm, 35mm, 40mm, and 45mm - there's an option to suit various requirements. It's important to note that these mats will spread slightly with use, owing to the traditional backing. To accommodate this, it's recommended to undersize each measurement by 6mm, allowing for any potential spreading over time. Additionally, the corners of these mats are subtly rounded not square.
